The Love London Green Festival 2009 is reaching out to recession-hit Londoners. Hundreds of cheap and free events will take place across the Capital from 4th – 28th June and organizers are offering extra help this year with an eco-thrift themed festival guidebook, green offers and pod casts.

Festival events lining up include a wetlands themed Love London Recycled Sculpture Show with artworks by Ptolemy Elrington and Joe Rush; green fairs; nature walks; swap shops; a recycled design show; London nature photography exhibition; film screenings and regular favourites such as the World Naked Bike Ride.

If you’d like to take part in the festival, hold an event or find out more about what’s on please visit www.lovelondon.org.uk You can also check out LL2008 photos and the festival film (warning: includes semi-naked cyclists!)

Be thankful you live in a state that is green friendly. We are stuck down here in the Georgia stone age. Try getting a permit down here, so much red tape I'll make your head spin.

Great to see green building spreading around the city. And using a green performance space as a venue for green-living events is a great idea!
